Personal, professional support for the realities of family life

I provide thoughtful, reliable support to families who value experience, professionalism, and a genuine partnership. With extensive experience in private household childcare and education, I bring a calm, organized, and responsive approach to supporting children and the families who care for them.Whether supporting a family long-term or stepping in during an important transition, I tailor my approach to the needs of each household. My experience spans infant and early childhood care, child development and education, household support, and family travel, allowing me to support not only the children in my care but the rhythm of family life as a whole.

Household Management

With experience working in private households, including high-net-worth (HNW) homes, I understand the organization, discretion, and attention to detail involved in supporting a busy family. My household support is centered around the children and the practical needs of family life, complementing the childcare I provide.I can help keep children’s spaces, belongings, and routines organized; manage children’s laundry; prepare bottles and age-appropriate food for infants and toddlers; organize and restock children’s supplies; coordinate activities and outings; and keep track of the many details that contribute to a smooth day.I am comfortable working independently and taking ownership of responsibilities within my role. I pay attention to what needs to happen next, anticipate needs when possible, and help manage transitions between the different parts of a family’s day. This can also include child-related errands, coordinating children’s calendars and appointments, organizing supplies, and supporting the logistics that surround activities and everyday family life. I work collaboratively with parents and household staff while respecting the systems, routines, and preferences already established within the home.My goal is to provide reliable, discreet support that makes family life feel more organized and manageable while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Private Nanny Educator

Professional childcare that brings together my background in education with more than 11 years of experience caring for children in private households. My specialty is supporting children from infancy through the preschool years, with care that is intentionally designed around each child’s personality, interests, learning style, and developmental stage. My approach is play-based, child-responsive, and experiential. I create opportunities for children to learn through books, music, art, sensory activities, imaginative and dramatic play, outdoor exploration, nature, and real-world experiences. I enjoy following a child’s curiosity and using their interests as a starting point for meaningful learning, while also introducing new experiences that encourage them to explore beyond what they already know. With a background in education and experience developing individualized learning experiences and curriculum, I bring intention to children’s days without making them feel like a classroom. I support physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and communication development while encouraging children to make choices, take responsibility, develop practical-life skills, and become increasingly independent. My childcare philosophy is informed by respectful parenting, RIE, Montessori principles, and attachment-focused care. I believe children need both secure relationships and opportunities to develop confidence and independence, with consistent boundaries and predictable routines alongside the freedom to explore and communicate. As a native Spanish speaker, I can also incorporate Spanish naturally into daily care and learning, while creating age-appropriate opportunities for children to experience different cultures, perspectives, and ways of seeing the world.

Infant & Family Support

The early years bring constant changes for both children and parents. I provide hands-on support for families with newborns, infants, and young children, helping families navigate new stages while providing children with consistent, responsive care.My infant and early-childhood experience includes newborn care, sleep training, and toilet learning. My approach to potty learning is primarily informed by Jamie Glowacki’s method, along with additional approaches and knowledge from my professional training and certifications, allowing me to adapt support to each child and family.I pay close attention to each child’s developmental stage and individual needs, creating opportunities for movement, exploration, communication, sensory experiences, outdoor play, and growing independence.I also have experience caring for twins and supporting multiples, where thoughtful organization, consistency, and the ability to respond to more than one child at a time are especially important. I can provide support during demanding periods of family life or become an ongoing part of a family’s childcare arrangement as children grow. When a new baby joins a family, older siblings need support too. I can care for the baby while keeping older children engaged and connected, helping them adjust to the changes that come with a new sibling and giving parents additional space to manage the transition.Feeding can also become a significant part of the infant years. My experience with Baby-Led Weaning allows me to support families with introducing solids and creating positive, developmentally appropriate mealtime experiences, along with the practical preparation and cleanup involved in infant feeding. My goal is to provide calm, attentive support that helps children feel secure while giving parents the practical support and breathing room they need.

Family Travel Support

I have experience traveling with families on both domestic and international trips, supporting children and maintaining their routines while away from home. I am passport-ready and have Global Entry, allowing me to be prepared for the practical demands of family travel.Traveling with children requires preparation and flexibility, but it also benefits from the familiarity and consistency of their usual routines. I can support children through flights and other transportation, help with packing and child-related logistics, maintain sleep schedules and mealtimes across time zones, and adapt daily routines to new environments. My travel support can include organizing children’s belongings, planning age-appropriate activities and outings, coordinating child-related logistics, and working with parents, household staff, resorts, and outside activity providers to help things run smoothly.I enjoy making travel an opportunity for children to explore and learn, whether through nature, museums, local culture, or simply experiencing a new environment. At the same time, I understand that children still need familiar routines, boundaries, and attentive care when everything around them is changing. My goal is to provide a dependable, low-maintenance presence while traveling so parents can focus on enjoying the experience with their family, knowing their children are safe, cared for, and supported.

My Philosophy

I believe children thrive when they feel safe, secure, respected, and genuinely understood. My approach is rooted in respectful parenting, RIE, Montessori principles, and attachment-focused care. I believe in building secure relationships while also giving children the confidence and space to develop independence, make choices, and explore the world around them.I see everyday life as an opportunity for learning. I enjoy creating hands-on, age-appropriate experiences through play, reading, music, art, sensory activities, outdoor exploration, and real-world experiences. I follow each child’s interests and developmental stage, paying attention to who they are as an individual and adapting my approach to support their strengths, curiosity, and areas where they are still developing.I also believe children need consistent boundaries and predictable routines while still having their emotions acknowledged and supported. I aim to create a warm, engaging environment where children feel comfortable communicating, trying new things, making mistakes, and becoming increasingly capable in their everyday lives. With families, I value clear communication, consistency, mutual trust, and respect for the systems and values already established within the home. I am comfortable working independently and taking ownership of my responsibilities, while also collaborating closely with parents and other household staff when needed. My goal is to be a dependable, thoughtful presence in a family’s life, someone who provides children with attentive, developmentally appropriate care while helping the day-to-day rhythm of the household run smoothly.

Best Household Fit

I thrive in households that value clear communication, consistency, mutual respect, and a thoughtful sense of structure. I work best with families who are aligned in their expectations and priorities and who value open, honest communication.I am very comfortable working independently and with autonomy in my day-to-day responsibilities. I appreciate being trusted to use my professional judgment, take ownership of my work, and manage the details of my role without needing to be closely directed, while still keeping parents informed and involved in the ways that matter.I value families who see a nanny as a professional and an important part of their support system. I believe the strongest working relationships are built on mutual trust, respect, clear boundaries, and the ability to communicate openly when something needs to be discussed or adjusted.I also appreciate consistency in expectations. While family life naturally changes and children’s needs evolve, I work best when responsibilities, priorities, and household expectations are communicated clearly and approached collaboratively.Ultimately, I want families to feel that they have someone they can genuinely trust and rely on. I value relationships where parents and nanny feel comfortable communicating openly, working through challenges together, and respecting one another’s perspectives. My goal is to become a trusted source of support for each family, providing thoughtful, consistent care and helping create a home environment where both children and parents feel supported.

How the hiring process works

Step 1: Family inquiry form
Families complete a form describing the position, children's ages, schedule, responsibilities, location, compensation range, household expectations, and any special requirements. This helps determine whether the position is a good fit before scheduling interviews.
Step 2: Initial Zoom interview
A conversation to discuss the position, expectations, experience, and compatibility.
Step 3: In-person interview
An opportunity to meet in person, discuss the role in greater detail, and determine whether both parties would like to move forward.
Step 4: Paid working trial
If both parties wish to proceed, the next step is a paid trial with an agreed-upon duration, schedule, responsibilities, and compensation. The trial gives the family and professional an opportunity to experience the working relationship before making a longer-term commitment.
References & ConfidentialityTo protect the privacy and confidentiality of previous employers, reference contact information will be provided only after all steps of the hiring process have been completed and an offer has been extended, for consideration before signing the employment contract.Reference letters with identifying information removed may be shared earlier, during Step 2 or Step 3, to provide insight into my experience while maintaining the confidentiality of previous employers. This approach allows families to review relevant professional feedback throughout the process while ensuring that previous employers’ contact information is shared only at the final stage, once an offer is on the table.
